During the month of November, we’re organizing a city-wide event to bring organizations, individuals and veterinary hospitals together to spay and neuter as many animals as possible! Our goal is 100 surgeries in a month, but together we can surpass this number, and make our great city a safer more equitable place for humans and animals.
Join us to provide lifesaving care to animals in need and to help keep animals off the streets, in homes, and out of shelters that are already at capacity. Unaltered animals are vulnerable to expensive and life threatening conditions such as pyometra and cancer. Behavioral issues such as aggression and spraying are some of the main reasons that families feel they have no choice but to leave their beloved animals at already overcrowded shelters. It doesn’t have to be this way. City officials have a role in helping facilitate more access to care, but this crisis can’t wait for funding and legislative changes. We can help these animals right now.
Whether you’re a veterinary professional, animal welfare organization or individual, let’s all come together to address the crisis of affordable spay/neuter care. Download the information packets below to learn how to get involved, or contact fixnyc@positivetails.org.
