2024 has been our biggest year yet!  
While our work has always relied heavily on collaboration, this year we were lucky to work with more veterinary hospitals, organizations, community organizers, and community members than ever before. Your support has made it possible to help over 1,000 animals and their families in 2024. 

We have big plans for 2025, so we hope you’ll be part of it by participating in our triple matching drive, up to $10,000.

While numbers only tell part of the story, they help us make sense of the work from the past year, and our goals for 2025. Here is our year in numbers:

467 spays and neuters

This November we organized the first ever city-wide spay/neuter-a-thon called Let’s Fix NYC! We brought together almost 30 veterinary hospitals to address the critical shortage in affordable and accessible spay/neuter availability. We were thrilled to have greatly surpassed our original goal of 100 surgeries, and are already planning how we can make more of an impact in 2025.

162 emergency and follow-up cases

Companion animals are valued family members and watching a family member have to be euthanized because the cost of care is too much is unbearable for both the family and the medical team. Providing emergency visits and urgent surgeries means there are hundreds of people who avoided the trauma of losing a companion animal and instead will have hundreds more happy memories to look forward to due to their animal’s life being saved!

That means that hundreds of companion animals had vet visits that might not have been possible without our street clinics. Thousands were vaccinated which in turn prevents disease – 10% of unvaccinated adult dogs will get parvo and that number gets significantly higher in puppies.
Hundreds of families were given advice on preventative care and most importantly all those that required follow up care received it.

We realize we have given you lots of numbers to digest, but if we can give you jut one more… $10,000 is the number of our end of the year matching drive. All donations up to $10,000 will be TRIPLE MATCHED which also means we will have the opportunity to take on more cases and have even higher numbers served in 2025.
